Meeting Aesclepius Exercise

I will have to try this meditation practice again another day, my mind kept wondering.  I also kept wanting to change “the wise person” I was thinking about. Even after I restarted the exercise my mind kept wondering. I also felt like the pauses were too long. I do, however enjoy most of these meditation exercises and I feel that I do have an increase in spiritual and psychological wellness since I started this class. I have learned to use relaxation exercises to help me when I feel stressed or anxious.

  1. It is very difficult to keep the mind from wandering during meditations. It took me forever to learn how to clear my mind. When I first started using meditation I wanted to give up because it seemed too hard and frustrating. I felt like it wasn't possible for me to do it. I am so glad that I kept trying. I have now learned to completely clear my mind and focus on the task at hand. I hope you keep trying and wish you the best of luck. Mind training is completely possible if you set your mind to it!

  2. I had the same experience during my time with this meditation, I just kept losing track of what I was doing, and found myself falling into making lists of the things I needed to accomplish! I did this one a second time as well, and did have a little better luck the second go round, but still found this exercise a bit difficult. I am proud for you to keep going, and that you feel you are making progress!
