Spiritual Wellness

Spiritual wellness is the final stage in biological flourishing. “As we reach toward the higher levels of consciousness and progressively experience the more subtle aspects of the mind/body, we finally get a glimpse of the spiritual body” (Dacher 2006, p 84).  I’m not sure that I have manifested this in my life, but I want to get there.  I do believe in a higher power and I look to him for answers, guidance, and positivity.  I am also going to start doing yoga, maybe that will help me clear my head, be more positive, and find my spiritual self.

  1. Ashley,
I believe that I have a glimpse of true spiritual health in my own life. I know that yoga and daily meditation have helped me to get where I am today mentally. It's amazing the difference meditation can make in your life. Keep working at it any way that you feel is best for you. It's worth the time and effort. I go through fazes in my life where my routine completely changes and I feel out of sorts. I know that I can meditate and find that inner peace. It is something that I look forward to after a crazy day.

  2. Hi Ashley,

I am on that very same path as well, still trying to figure out how my spiritual health fits in with my mental well-being. Did you enjoy the subtle mind exercise? I found it so hard to keep my mind from bouncing from what thought to the next.
