The Subtle mind exercise was beneficial to me, it helped
clear my mind and feel less anxious when I did it. I also like putting on some
good music and just being still for 30 minutes to help clear my thoughts and
relax. I also enjoy going on walks outside; the scenery and the fresh air gives
me a sense of inner peace. Plus I feel
so much better mentally and physically after I have done some physical exercise.
I also enjoyed the subtle mind exercise. I love to go on walks, enjoying nature. These walks could be what you reflect back on when doing visualization exercises. Sometimes its hard to just make something up to imagine if you've never experienced it. But if you go out an explore nature, taking the time to use your senses, you'd be able to better visualize it in the mind.
ReplyDeleteMusic is a great form of therapy. If I am not in a place where I can meditate, I turn on motivating music instead. I feel that music gives me energy and gets me motivated to do anything. I am actually using music as motivation this very moment.
ReplyDeleteAshley,
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about going for a walk. It helps me to clear my head and get the stress out of my body. I also enjoy the Subtle Mind exercise. It's such a great feeling, no matter how it's done, to clear the mind. It's amazing how crazy it can get. When I have a lot going on in life and then have a crazy day at work, I can really feel how it effects my mind and my body. I love being able to do these exercises and reap the benefits of "calm abiding".

Hi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI love putting music on and sitting in the dark for awhile to clear my mind. It always helps me to relax. It's a good way to clear your mind.
Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more that health and wellness professionals have to practice what they preach. I do not want advice about weight loss from an overweight professional. Health and wellness professionals should be constantly growing and changing to improve their own lives and thus, teach others to do the same.
